“My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 💍,” Lohan wrote in the caption of her post on Sunday, November, 28. Along with the sweet caption, she posted a few photos, giving us a glimpse at her stunning diamond ring.
“While detailed photos are not yet available, the ring looks to feature a natural diamond center stone of about three carats in a square radiant or cushion cut shape,” says our in-house gemologist and all-around diamond expert Grant Mobley. “The center diamond is set on a petit platinum band with pavé diamonds down the side.” We love a good solitaire paired with a pavé band!
Lohan tagged famed New York jeweler Harry Winston on the Instagram post, confirming he designed the ring. “While the exact quality of the diamond cannot be detected from the current photos, we know Winston to only work with natural diamonds that have an ‘F’ color grade or higher and also with ‘VS’ or higher clarity rating,” explains Mobley. “With those very high standards, a ring like this from Winston would be valued at around $150,000.”
Since 1932, Harry Winston has created some of the world’s most famous pieces of jewelry using some of the rarest natural diamonds on earth including the Hope Diamond, which Winston donated to the Smithsonian Institute in 1958. Lohan’s beautiful new natural diamond engagement can now join Winston’s famed list of creations.
