LIVE from COUTURE 2021: 3 Best New Diamond Jewellery Collections
Las Vegas’s knack for pushing limits only starts at the roulette table. Case in point: the annual COUTURE jewellery show, where jewellery designers unveil their best designs and showcase new realms of diamond and gold creations.
Turns out that 2021’s most striking presentations came in the form of fresh and contemporary pieces begging to become their wearers’ everyday signature.
The following three collections, from three brands coincidentally each debuting at COUTURE this year, rose amongst the rest for their visionary style and engineering genius.
For Diamonds that Dance on the Body: Ondyn, New York
Hip and beautiful designer Tara Maria Famiglietti creates minimalistic—yet never dainty—jewellery with a distinctive sense of movement and dynamism. Remarkably fluid, flexible and lightweight, pieces are meant to feel like a second skin on the body. Diamond fringe earrings draw light to their wearer and dance with every motion; rings shimmy with sensuality. Each refreshing style has the bonus of feeling great when it’s on.
For Innovative and Artistic Diamond Jewellery: Studio Renn, Bombay
Renn, which translates to reborn or rebirth, was founded by the artistic husband-and-wife team, Rahul and Roshni Jhaveri. The avant garde line’s attention-grabbing jewellery includes Puffball earrings featuring asymmetric cluster of spheres with a tactile sensibility; the Orange Peel collection that explores reflections of high-gloss, mirror-finished yellow gold paired with diamonds, and emits a striking sense of light; and Cacti, a graphic, edgy collection identified by its spiky, minimalist diamond pieces.
For Classics Made Cooler: Walters Faith
“We’ve taken great classics and put them in our point of view,” says Mollie Faith Good, who, along with her partner Stephanie Walters creates forever statements with a fresh coolness. Using only rose gold, Walters Faith’s latest includes the Bower, a versatile, fluid ‘70s-style snake chain to wear long or wrapped in countless ways like a lariat, when paired with one of the collection’s industrial-esque pave diamond locks. Even more, the brand’s new pave diamond stylized letters and numbers are as meaningful as they are luxe. As its founders say, it’s all about ‘relaxed sophistication’.
