There is no shortage of interesting diamond jewels that can be found at an auction house like Bonhams. This month, with their Style & Substance and New York Jewels Auction, anyone can take home a piece of diamond history.

With pieces from famous names like Bette Midler and pieces donated by Lady Sylvia Ashley who collected jewelry with help from her five husbands, one of whom was the famous actor Clarke Gable, this latest auction has some serious stand out rings, tiaras, pins and more.

Lady Ashley’s Van Cleef & Arpels Charm Bracelet

Suspended from a link chain dotted with bezel set diamonds sit 8 charms set throughout with baguette and fancy-cut diamonds, set in platinum. You’ll see a dog, a fish, and a few different bird shapes on the bracelet.

Bette Midler’s Tiffany & Co Feather Pin

13 carats of round brilliant diamonds surround a 8.5-carat yellow sapphire center stone in this gorgeous pin, mounted in 18K gold and platinum.

A Gilded Age Diamond Necklace

A double star old-cut diamond pendant brooch sits on a Rivière necklace, also made with old-cut diamonds, 89 of them to be exact. The entire piece weighs in at about 80 carats and is mounted in silver topped 18K gold.

Cartier Aigrette

This aigrette dates back to 1914 from the collection of Hélène Irwin Crocker Fagan, an American sugar heiress. It’s comprised of two natural saltwater pearls and an 8.25-carat diamond. There are loops in the interior of the aigrette to hold the feathers, perfect for your next ‘20s themed party.
