How Meghan Markle Honored Princess Diana During Her Oprah Interview
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey had plenty of explosive moments. And while we were captivated by the intimate details revealed by the royal couple, we were admittedly even more enthralled with Meghan’s jewelry, specifically, her natural diamond tennis bracelet that once belonged to Princess Diana.
Meghan’s choice to honor her mother-in-law by wearing her iconic diamond tennis bracelet was a significant one: for centuries diamonds have represented our precious relationships with other people.
As Princess Diana always took creative liberty in the styling of her jewels, in her Oprah appearance, Meghan did too, layering the diamond bracelet with two others—one being a Cartier Love bracelet, which symbolizes eternal love.

Beyond the obvious tribute to Diana, the bracelet holds even more meaning than we thought. According to People, it’s the same bracelet that was used to craft Meghan’s gorgeous engagement ring; two of the stones from this very bracelet sit on a band on the Duchesses’ ring finger. So touching!
The two side stones on Meghan’s ring are from Diana’s bracelet and the third center stone is a natural diamond from Botswana, a place close to Harry’s heart. The ring honors both Prince Harry’s past and his current passions, two things his wife took on as her own when they wed back in 2018.
This is not the first time the Duchess of Sussex has worn a piece of jewelry in tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother, and we’re sure it won’t be the last. So what else from Lady Di has Meghan worn?
