1stDibs Debuts Latest Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative Jewelry Collection
The diamond jewelry collection features innovative designs and elevated essentials.
Leading online marketplace 1stDibs is known for carrying some of the most coveted and exclusive luxury items in the world, which made the platform the perfect choice for launching the new diamond jewelry collection from the latest Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative participants.
Launched in 2021 with $1 million dollars of diamond credit dedicated to supporting emerging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) jewelry designers, the Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative is a joint effort between the Natural Diamond Council and celebrated jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz.
The mission of the program is to provide promising fine jewelry designers looking to incorporate natural diamonds into their original pieces with unprecedented access to resources, mentorship, media opportunities and guidance as they grow their businesses. The program provides each recipient with a $20,000 diamond credit to use toward the creation of their own line.
“I am so excited for this new group of designers to debut their collections on 1stDibs. I congratulate them on this showcase of their creativity and beautiful designs,” said Lorraine Schwartz. This year’s participants include Casey Perez, Corey Anthony Jones (Gaudy Atelier), Halle Millien (Heart The Stones), Lana Ogilvie (Sabre Jewelry), Mckenzie Liautaud and Ruben Manuel.

“The EDDI program is essential to providing exceptional resources to talented individuals who may not have access to the industry.“
Matt Rubinger, Chief Commercial Officer at 1stDibs
“We are honored to launch the second Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative collections in partnership with NDC and Lorraine Schwartz on 1stDibs,” said Matt Rubinger, Chief Commercial Officer at 1stDibs. “The EDDI program is essential to providing exceptional resources to talented individuals who may not have access to the industry. We admire these designers so much and are proud to support their beautiful work with the broad reach of the 1stDibs platform.”
The collection premiered during an exclusive NYC showcase hosted my actress and Only Natural Diamonds ambassador Ana de Arma before the jewelry launched on 1stDibs.
“I think it’s so cool that the industry is doing this,” said de Armas about the EDDI program. “As a minority, I remember back when all I wanted was to be in a room with people to say what I wanted to say and show what I had to offer. And to find someone that pushes you to do that, that is a mentor that encourages you to go back to your roots. To be able to show your own version of things I think is so important and refreshing.”
The initiative will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until the $1 million credit runs out. Jewelry designers within the BIPOC community are encouraged to apply and learn more about the Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative here.
