Messika’s Newest Campaign Features Diamond-Clad Kendall Jenner and Alton Mason In The Middle of the Desert
Take a look at Messika’s bold colors, striking setting and sparkling natural diamonds.
You won’t be able to peel your eyes from Messika’s gorgeous new campaign, shot by fashion photographer Chris Colls and starring Kendall Jenner and Alton Mason as the latest faces of the brand, wearing Messika’s iconic natural diamond jewelry in the middle of the desert. Messika’s artistic director Valerie Messika was inspired by the world of American cinema for the campaign along with bold colors and of course, the diamond jewelry itself.
Iconic American cars serve as an explosion of color on the dusty, desert landscape, with Kendall and Alton wearing striking ensembles to match. “Kendall has a very powerful natural presence in front of the camera,” says Valerie Messika. “In one look, she is there.” Jenner is no stranger to the Messika brand and always brings her A-game when modeling their jewels.
A newcomer to the Messika family, actor and dancer Alton Mason is “always on the move,” adds the brand’s Artistic Director. “This works perfectly with our energy.” The desert plays a character in the shoot as well, its dry, arid landscape a perfect contrast to the brilliance of the jewelry’s natural diamonds, gold finishes, and the muses’ bright latex ensembles. The campaign presents three acts in red, blue and violet.
For the first act, Kendall embodies a mysterious and free-spirited woman behind the wheel of a glossy red Pontiac. Together and dressed in red, Kendall and Alton embark on a classic American road trip that draws on life in America in the ’60s. Kendall becomes “a modern-day Grace Kelly, a new Thelma & Louise, an invincible heroine from a Quentin Tarantino film,” says Messika in a press release.
Kendall and Alton wear Messika’s “D-Vibes,” aka diamond vibes, in this red act. The second-skin jewelry follows the curves of the body, a daring twist to the classic rivere style. “Each piece reads like a free score where gold and diamonds alternate,” says Messika. “Jewels that build a new tempo.”
The second and third chromatic acts of the campaign, blue and violet, are coming soon.
